Catch up
Lots of little things happening to keep us busy. Havent taken any photos due to the fact I already have so much to scrap I just cant add anymore! I have been able to scrap a bit lately which has been very theraputic.
Ohter stuff that has been happening in no particular order -
I have started doing my family tree again and have just joined a geneology society which should help me get through the hard parts
We have booked a holiday to Bali in March for 10 days which will be Taylors first trip overseas. Really looking forward to taking her. Her passport has come through which she is very excited about too! When we come back i have 4 weeks to do nothing around the place except scrap and bury myself in family tree stuff.
This trip however means I wont be able to attend the crop for kids day which will be really disappointing, it willbe the best part of having been invovled!
Speaking of which Crop For Kids is coming up very quickly, tickets are now on sale for $30 so pop on to our blog and get the details.
My best friend Bek is pregnant!!!!! Yay!!!!!!! This will be her 3rd - due late July. Very exciting.
My other besty has a boyfirend which is also very exciting, hes very nice so im very happy for her.
My niece Tarsh hs moved out of home, at 16 its a bit of a worry but shes in Qld and Im here so not much I can do. Very hard to deal with when not your child especially now she has dropped out of school. She only had Year 12 to go this year. Anyway, we will see what happens.
Toilet training has been happening here too. Taylor has done so well, I didnt think it would be so easy. We had been putting her on and off the toilet for a few months now but have really got stuck into it the last couple of weeks. Still the odd accident and nappy at night but otherwise fantastic.
We started back swimming last Friday too. Taylor hasnt missed a trick so I am very confident this will be her last term in the pol with me. Yay!
Got a busier week coming up than I first thought. Crop for kids meeting here on Wednesday night, swimming and seeing Bek on Friday, a family tree info session on Sat then seeing a clairvoyant with Jac on Sat afternoon followed by some scrapping together which I dont hink we have done since our last retreat.
Then back to work and so it goes on.

First for the year
Where has the time gone, its been a while since my last post and so much has been happening. Going back to the 18th, Jacqui had her birthday so we went to Southbank for lunch which was very relaxing. Went home grabbed Taylor then went back down to Jacquis place for a BBQ and cake. Next day my birthday, Jac and I took Taylor and Caleb to the zoo which was a great day we had so much fun but we were exhausted at the end. Got home to find John had flitted out to pick up his new car..........priorities hey! Next day it was straight off to the mechanics to have it lowered, exhaust and a tune. That was the really stormy day where it flooded everywhere.
We had Christmas on the 23rd with Johns boys Rikki & David with Rikkis wife Loz and baby Ruby and Daves girlfriend Michelle.
Monday was getting ready for Christmas day - we had 14 for a sit down lunch. Friends of mine Jackie and Allan called in for a drink to see Tay so that was nice to catch up with them at Chrissy. My niece arrived Monday too from Qld for 2 weeks so that was exciting to see her. Taylor has just loved having her here, shes always asking where Tarsh is and if she's coming whenever we go somewhere. Got through Christmas day quite easliy, took Tarsh to some relos christmas night then we had a quiet boxing day. John and Tay and I went to Frankston for lunch then to Beks to see them before they went camping.
Tay has attached herself to a little handbag and new mobile(toy) that she got for chrissy. She wears it over her shoulder and walks along with it, its just hilarious. Then she might remember to get on the phone so that comes out too with the handbag over the shoulder then the phone on the ear. Too funny.
Hit the sales with Tarsh and her freind Maddy on the Friday. Saturday went to Jacs to catch up for Christmas. Sunday we went for a drive to the Danenongs and had lunch . Monday I actually worked - volunteered for a sleepover. Havent done one of those in 7 years! It was nice and peaceful actually and cool given we have nice air con at work.
Back to work New years day afternoon then Wed worked all day too. Picked up Tarsha again then on Thursday we went to the beach at Brighton. Friday had lunch with some friends of Johns then went to my dads to take tarsha there to stay the night. Worked all day Saturday which brings me to today. We have John's neices engagement party this afternoon for 2-6pm for afternnon tea - bit different! After that Im picking up Tarsh again to stay the night. She goes home tomorrow so Im takning her to the aiport after one last hit at chaddy. I will be so sad to see her go. I miss the kids so much since they left. Back to normal this week too. John goes back to work and Taylor goes back to creache on Tuesday. I take my holidays around March for 4-6 weeks so i'll have my holidays then.
I think that will do for now. Hope everyone had a happy and safe chrissy and new year.

Happenings
Well its been a few weeks........ I have added the piccies in the next post because I’m a bit of a spaz when it comes to adding them in the middle of my text. I always end up deleting them then they take so long to load. I have put 2 of the pages I did in Tarsha's album too.
I am now enrolled into TAFE for next year for a 2 year part time course. Its the Advanced Diploma In Disability so it should stimulate me a bit more. What a production to get in though! First you have an info session then the following week you have a group interview then the following week you go and enrol in person. I'd hate to be enrolling for uni!
Taylor got a big bed! Literally its huge for her, just a little dot! But she loves it because she can get in and out of it herself and mummy doesn’t have to get up and get her out!~ So far no falling out.
Bek and I finally had lunch and caught up on heaps of happenings. And no kids! what a bonus. Just makes it a bit easier to chat sometimes!
Next I got my braces put on. How annoying are they. I don’t know how I’m going to manage them on for 2 years! So far only the top ones are on because I have a deep overbite so in a few more months I will get the bottom ones on. It didn’t hurt as much as I thought but day 2 and 3 have been the worst so far in terms of eating. And as everyone says and I already know it will be so worth it.
Jacqui had her 39 forever party on Sat night. This is because she refuses to turn the 'f' word! Unfortunately my poor little girl had gastro so she came for a little before she spewed all over her party dress! Managed a happy snap with Jac though. Then I had to leave quite early. It was nice to see Jac have fun and enjoy herself with all her friends and family together. Jac’s actual birthday is tomorrow the 18th then my birthday is on the 19th so the next 2 days will be full of food, cake and wine I think!
Happy 40th Birthday Jac and Happy 33rd to me!!

Catching up from last week,
I finished the BLACK & WHITE album!! for those who know it was my nieces deb album for her with a colour theme of black and white and silver. I'm quite pleased with it and will give it to her for Chrissy. I will post photos when I get them off my camera.
Jimmy was great, he chatted for about half an hour then left us to watch his new DVD.
He also has a new CD out which I have already got of course. Thanks Louisefor a good night, haven't caught up with her for ages either. Work has been busy with one thing or another coming up, I don't notice how much it takes its toll until I get home or its my day off, then I find I'm really buggered! I'm looking forward to next year, a lot of fresh starts. Speaking of work, I have enrolled in a 2year part time course to upgrade my qualification. This will start next year so that will definitely keep me even more busy at work.
The verdict came in from my orthodontist - braces on the top teeth to start with and then in few months the bottom ones will get put on. Yay the next 2 years will consist of braces and study!! I have just about finished my Christmas shopping with only 2 more pressies to buy. That amount will expand I'm sure when there's little ones you forget about. Not much other news around here, lots coming up though with the silly season approaching.
Going to Scraptacular tomorrow for a demo day which should be good as its also incorporating a raffle and proceeds going to Crop For Kids.
Bek, when are we cathcing up?!! The weeks are zooming by I dont know where the time is going. Dont think Im not thinking of you tho!!

Back to busy
well not really, had some quiet times so there wasnt much to tell so I got lazy then everything got busy again.
Lets see whats been happening......... Maybe I start from the most recent.
Last night John and I went and stayed at the Royce hotel in st kilda road. Somme of the rooms were renovated so we got one with a huge plasma on the wall and a little one in the bathroom so we could have a spa and watch the car racing at the same time. Bliss! We spent out wedding night there and needed some time out so we went there and had dinner in at Southbank. We originally were supposed to go to Lynchs but I buggered up the booking so didnt get there bugger! Tay stayed at Jacquis and the night before Caleb stayed here cos Jac wet out after her undercover wear party. I took Caleb and Tay to Waves pool yesterday. Caleb was really excited cos he hadnt been there before. We were waiting patiently for the waves to happen but someone shat in the pool so we all had to get out so they could clean it and wait for the chlorine levels to be back to normal! We didnt wait we left.
I caught up with Bek at Jacquis on Friday night. I havent seen her for ages or the kids.
Friday morning my dad came up to watch Taylor swim. Hes on holĂdays and had never seen her swim so i was a bit proud to show her off!
I have just finished week 2 of Herbalife. Only lost 600g but 9.5 cms in the first week. Its really quite easy to stick to but I have been hungry.
Went to the orthodontist a couple of weeks ago, he did all my records for the upcoming event (braces). Now theres something to look forward to for the next 2 years, NOT! I go back on the 27th for the final plan.
Started our christmas shopping and organising christmas. All the family coming to us this year, well most of them anyway.
Crop for kids meeting the other week. Fliers are finally done so maybe the word will get out a bit better now to the average scrapper rather than the ones that just visit forums and blogs. If they know what a blog is??!! I didnt until this year! I signed up for an online class that was conducted on Friday night and still havent had time to log in! Lucky I dont have a huge role as I really struggle with deadlines sometimes thanks to work. It always seems to get in the way of my social life!!
Tomorrow night I have a date with a friend of mine who loves Jimmy Barnes just as much as I do. We are going to see him at Rivoli and we will see his new dvd too. Bit excited about that and as a bonus I had to take the night off work!!
Thats about it I think, probably left a heap out but I will blog more often so i dont forget
